Since its establishment six years ago, the International Jazzseminar Salzburg (new: JIMS-Workshop for Jazz and Improvised Music Salzburg) gained a reputation of one of the top places for advanced studies in the field of Jazz and improvised music. The success of the past six years shows, that there is a great demand for these studies on a high level. The JIMS wants to attract, as in the previous years, a wide range of musicians, from amateurs to professionals. The teachers will try to accommodate the different levels of the students in their courses. Besides the educational activities there will be an exciting program of daily concerts and sessions. The teaching staff, once again, consists of important personalities of the international Jazz scene.
