Because the night ... belongs to lovers. Die Hymne der amerikanischen Punkrocklegende Patti Smith war titelgebend für die 2013 gestartete Kooperation von SEAD und ARGEkultur. Der von Susan Quinn kuratierte Abend beleuchtet die Vielseitigkeit von zeitgenössischer Choreografie und vereint dynamische Tanzstücke, konzeptuelle Arbeiten, Performances und Tanztheater – eine lebendige Verschmelzung verschiedener künstlerischer Ausdrucksformen. Durch die enge Zusammenarbeit zwischen SEAD und ARGEkultur entsteht eine Plattform, die sowohl etablierten als auch aufstrebenden Künstler*innen Raum bietet, ihre kreativen Visionen zu teilen.

Because the Night – the title of an iconic song by Patti Smith – has also stood for the inspiring collaboration between SEAD and ARGEkultur since 2013. Curated by Susan Quinn, this special evening is dedicated to the diversity of contemporary choreography.
The program brings together dynamic dance pieces, conceptual works, performances, and dance theater – a vibrant fusion of different artistic expressions. Through the close collaboration between SEAD and ARGEkultur, a platform is created that offers space for both established and emerging artists to share their creative visions.
